Cultural consultation and training

Mainstream family violence and family support services regularly work with African and other CALD families and encounter cultural context they aren't equipped to read. We work alongside those teams — not instead of them — bringing an MSW-qualified social work background, men's behaviour change experience, and standing in the communities involved.

Cultural secondary consults

Case-level guidance for practitioners: what's shaping the family's situation, why engagement isn't working, what's being misread, and what might shift it. Confidential, practitioner-to-practitioner, and available at short notice.

Per consult · agency funded

Training and professional development

Culturally responsive practice with African and CALD families — migration and resettlement, changed roles after arrival, racism and unemployment as context, intergenerational conflict, and the community and faith structures that shape both risk and protection. Delivered as a half-day or full-day workshop for your team.

Day rate · agency or government funded

Program and practice review

An independent look at how your existing programs and materials land with African and CALD participants, with practical recommendations you can actually implement.

What we don't do. We don't deliver men's behaviour change programs, and we don't take referrals for individual perpetrators or victim-survivors. That work needs accredited facilitators, a dedicated women's family safety contact worker independent of the group, and governance accountable to women's safety — and we'd rather say so than stretch. We consult to the teams who do that work.
